join me on a train trip across germany from munich to hamburg, including snow covered landscapes and ending up in the north sea.
Before Christmas I took a really early 6am train (on a Sunday!) from Munich to Hamburg. This 5.5 hour long trip covers around 800km right across Germany south to north. This was during a particularly cold snap and the entire trip was looking out onto snow covered landscapes. I shot the images in this blog post over a couple of days (highly unusual for me as I usually finish a roll in one go), with the following views: Munich to Hamburg by train, a walk along the famous Blankese neighbourhood in Hamburg, and finally beach views on the East Frisian island of Langeoog.
These images were shot on Kodak Gold 200 and Ektar 100 with my Leica MP camera.
What I was greeted to as I came off the train from Munich - that is a long and orderly queue!

The river Elbe is so large it sometimes feels you are looking at an ocean, even though the North Sea is about 100km away. In on of the photos below you can see the large Airbus hangar, including home to the amazing Beluga Airbus cargo airplane.
